24 months international warranty on components and workmanship for any auto repair and / or car maintenance performed in any car service AD Garage


The International Warranty Program is a loyalty program exclusively for car owners and, in particular, for private individuals. Commercial vehicles and trucks can not be part of this program.

What do you have to do in the event of a malfunction ?

A. If the malfunction occurs when you are still in the country of residence (ROMANIA)

Please contact the AD GARAGE repair shop that performed the auto repair or maintenance service and explain the situation. They will do all they can to help you further in accordance with the Romanian legislation in force.

B. Abroad

B.1. In a country with existent AD GARAGE repair shops (Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, Finland, France, Hungary, Italy, Morocco, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Sweden and Turkey).

Please contact the nearest AD Garage repair shop and explain the case.
The AD GARAGE car service abroad will identify the malfunction, make a note of it, and determine whether or not it is in a collateral situation. If the estimated estimate exceeds the amount of EUR 500, it is mandatory to request an expert who will perform a professional expertise. Without this expertise, an application for the refund of the amounts paid can not be claimed.
The AD GARAGE car service abroad will issue an invoice for its work (spare parts and labor / time included). If the malfunction falls under the warranty, AD Garage will also send a completed and signed warranty form.
You will pay the bill and you can continue your journey. The guarantee form signed by AD Garage guarantees that all repair costs will be reimbursed later.

B.2. In a country where there are no AD Garage car services.

Ask for help from the nearest car representative, according to the brand of the vehicle you own. Asks its representatives to issue a fault-finding note in as much detail as possible. In this way, following an analysis, we can conclude that we are facing a warranty case. Keep all auto repair documents (job bills, used car parts, repair description) and any defective components.

How can you get your money back ?

1. Go to the AD GARAGE car service that performed the first repair or maintenance service.

2. Submit here:

  • The invoice issued by them for the first intervention
  • Invoice from the abroad AD GARAGE repair shop
  • Warranty form (Download here)
  • Any malfunctioning components
  • The expert's billing and expertise, if any (if an expert was consulted, see the International Warranty Guidance).

3. The AD GARAGE repair shop will fully refund your repair costs, as well as any evaluation costs.

Guidance on the application of the international guarantee in an AD Garage car service

What do you need to know beforehand ?

The international AD Garage network has more than 4600 service locations in 16 European countries. This network is managed and supplied by ADI, a group of professional independent auto parts wholesalers who in the 1970s chose to gather their forces and resources at national and European level. Their purpose was and is to ensure that AD Garage can provide optimal service that meets the highest standards.

Components and products offered and installed on the AD network are carefully selected by our national and international specialists. They ensure compliance with the strictest quality standards for:
  • branded products made by the most well-known component manufacturers and distributed by us in the original manufacturer's brand
  • exclusive AD products

Article 1: Exclusion

Evenimentele de pierdere atribuibile uzurii normale, utilizării improprii a vehiculului, inspecţiei şi întreţinerii defectuoase, insuficiente sau neregulate ale vehiculului nu se încadrează în această garanţie.

Article 2: Territorial validity

Loss events attributable to normal wear and tear or to the usage of improper vehicle, faulty, inadequate or irregular inspection and maintenance of the vehicle do not fall under this warranty.

Article 3: Term of the guarantee

This warranty covers components and workmanship in all countries where the AD Garage network operates. In January 2014, the network included the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, Finland, France, Hungary, Italy, Morocco, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Sweden and Turkey.

Article 4: Evidence

An invoice will be issued after each maintenance or repair operation by the AD Garage repair shop, indicating in particular the date of the operation, the vehicle identification number and a description of the works carried out. You must keep this invoice for at least 24 months. You will need it in case of a warranty claim. This is proof that car maintenance and / or repair has been performed by an AD Garage repair shop.

Article 5: Expertise - Warranty

A technical expert will examine the failure and prepare a file based on the malfunctioning component or any surrounding components. The file will highlight the reason for the malfunction and will include the repair as being or not covered by the warranty.

  • 1. The defect is covered by the guarantee in particular in the case of:
    • Abnormal wear
    • Component failure by incorrect installation or component failure itself.
  • 2. The defect will in no case be covered by the warranty in the case of:
    • Normal or predictable wear of the component
    • Rust
    • If the vechicle is used in circumstances for which it was not designed and built
    • If the vehicle was not serviced at the required intervals
  • 3. The guarantee does not cover the costs of assistance: towing, repatriation, hotel, etc.

You can call an expert at the initiative of the car owner. If an expert consults, the costs will be part of the cost of possible auto repair under warranty, and in that case will be fully refunded later.

If the fault is considered NOT to be covered by the warranty, the costs of the expert's assessment will be covered by the owner of the car.

If the fault is covered by the warranty, AD Garage will treat the problem with due diligence and provide you with the following documents:

  • A special warranty form completed and signed by them. This document proves that the warranty is accepted and that you will be compensated;
  • Invoice repair, pricing for auto parts and fares;
  • Any malfunctioning component, if possible and feasible;
  • A report and the expert's bill, if one was consulted.

You will pay this invoice to the auto-insurance agency AD Garage from abroad who has performed the warranty repair together with the expert's invoice (if applicable).

Article 6: How to recover your money

Within thirty days of the warranty claim abroad, you must go to the AD GARAGE repair shop in the country that performed the initial maintenance and / or repair and deposit:

  • Original warranty form
  • Invoice for initial maintenance or repairs (issued by them)
  • Invoice repair invoice (issued by the abroad AD GARAGE repair shop)
  • Component malfunctioning (recommended, not mandatory)
  • Expert report and invoice (if an expert was consulted) and / or of the AD GARAGE car shop from abroad who carried out the repair work.

It will be refunded the invoice amount (parts + tariffs) as well as the evaluation costs and the related VAT.
